Berth Incentive System Cargo Incentive System
  • Period : Jan. 1, 2012 to Dec. 31, 2012 (for two years)
  • To Whom : Shipping Companies with yearly throughput of 5, 000 TEU or higher
  • What : The year’s earnings and transshipment cargo (TEU) except increased throughput, transshipment cargo with incentives for building berth change
  • Total support fund :800 million won (400 million won for import/ 400 million won for transshipment)

Increased Throughput Incentive
  • Period : Jan. 1, 2012 to Dec. 31, 2012 (for two years)
  • To Whom: Shipping Companies with yearly throughput of 5, 000 TEU or higher
  • What: The year’s earnings and transshipment cargo (TEU) except increased throughput, transshipment cargo with incentives for building berth change
  • Total support fund :Over 2 billion won (1 billion for imported ‘full’ container, 1 billion for transshipment)
  • Support fund calculation : Applicable throughput x unit price – cumulative payment

Transshipment Cargo Incentive for building berth change
  • Period : Jan. 1, 2012 to Dec. 31, 2012 (for two years)
  • To Whom : Shipping companies with over 3,000 TEU of transshipment cargo for building berth changes within a month after making the preliminary agreement with YGPA.
  • What :Transshipment container cargo for building berth change under agreement (TEU)
  • Total support fund : (within 1 billion won)
  • Support fund calculation : Applicable throughput x unit price –cumulative payment.
    • How to pay and when to pay: After completing building berth change and having it reported and confirmed by our Port-MTS, cash will be paid to the shipping company.

    * Restrictive condition: As for the agreement, it is on a first-come-first-served basis as long as the total amount of already paid amount and support fund in agreement do not exceed the support fund amount.

Gwangyang port mileage
  • Period : Jan. 1, 2006- : In case container cargo of Gwangyang port reaches 3million TEU
  • To Whom
    • Port mileage: 100TEU of a shipper and 50 TEU of forwarder per import and export cargo.
    • Best customer program: 5,000 TEU of a shipper and 1,000 TEU of forwarder of combined cargo of import and export
  • What
    • Port mileage: The year’s throughput (TEU) increased over the trigger level compared to the record high for the most recent 3 years per import and export cargo.
    • Best customer program: The year’s throughput (TEU) in case average throughput for the most current 3 years is over the trigger level.
  • Support fund calculation
    • Port mileage:Σ(unit price per cargo x applicable quantity per cargo)
      • (Unit price per cargo TEU: KRW 5,000 for export, KRW 15,000 for import)
    • Best customer program: 300 x applicable quantity +KRW 5 million.)
