The following ships are exempt from entrance and departure fees once:

  • A warship, a government vessel, a ship called at a port to avoid marine casualties, a home trade vessel • An empty ocean going vessel which enters a port for repairs at a shipbuilding yard and departs once the repair jobs are done• An ocean going vessel that returns to Busan Port from Busan South port after paying for the fee at its initial entry to Busan Port • A passing ship, and a ship (with a view to loadingand unloadingcargo) which re-enters a port after repairing the ship outside the port limit due to the lack of quay wall or basin where ship repairs can be done; and • A dangerous cargo vessel that re-enters a port after cleaning a cargo hold outside the port limit as it has to load different type of cargo
  • A ship manufactured in a shipbuilding yard located inside a port, thatdeparts empty without berthing or anchoring at a port (the case includes a newly built ship which berths and anchors only for fueling)
  • An exclusive container ship that enters and departs Gwangyang Port until Dec.31, 2013.
  • An exclusive container ship (designed to carry containers and carries over 20 TEU at each arrival and departure) that enters and departs Ulsan Port, Pohang Port and Masan New Port (1-1 stage) until Dec.31, 2013.
  • An exclusive container ship that calls at North Port and New Port consecutively through the same voyage number from Busan Port until Dec.31, 2013.
  • An exclusive container ship that calls at Incheon Port or Pyeongtaek Port consecutively through the same voyage number from Kyungin Port, or calls at Kyungin Port consecutively through the same voyage number from Incheon Port or Pyeongtaek Port. until Dec.31, 2013.
  • An exclusive container ship that calls at Kyungin Port consecutively through the same voyage number from Busan Port, or calls at Busan Port consecutively through the same voyage number from Kyungin Port until Dec.31, 2013.
  • An ocean going vessel that enters and departs Kyungin Port until Dec.31, 2013

    • A ship designated by an Administration out of ships at anchor required by a port without the shipper’s liability

  • An exclusive container ship that calls at Incheon Port or Pyeongtaek Port consecutively through the same voyage number from Kyungin Port, or calls at Kyungin Port consecutively through the same voyage number from Incheon Port or Pyeongtaek Port until Dec.31, 2013
  • An exclusive container ship that calls at Kyungin Port through the same voyage number directly from Busan Port, or calls at Busan Port through the same voyage number directly from Kyungin Port until Dec.31, 2013
  • A ship which uses a basin outside the port limit for loading and unloading cargo until Dec.31, 2013
  • An exclusive container ship that enters and departs our trade ports until Dec.31, 2013
  • An ocean going vessel and a home trade vessel that enters and departs Kyungin Port (demurrage only) until Dec.31, 2013

  • Transshipment cargo should be paid wharfage when a vessel that carries the cargo enters a port. In case cargoes loaded in the same vessel are transshipped to other vessel (equally qualified to ship cargoes according to the Marine Transportation Act) either through a sea or a land, and the loaded vessel departs, the loaded cargoes are free of wharfage (in this case, cargo transshipment is done between a home trade vessel and between an ocean going vessel, respectively. But, when liquid or liquefied cargo in a land storage tank is transshipped for departure, wharfage is exempt.
  • A cargo reloaded in the same vessel for departure after temporary unloading to prevent a vessel trim or to ship other cargoes.
  • A container cargo carried by an exclusive container ship that enters and departs Gwangyang Port until Dec.31, 2013
  • A container cargo carried by an exclusive container ship (designed to carry containers and carries over 20 TEU at each arrival and departure) that enters and departs Ulsan Port, Pohang Port and Masan New Port (1-1 stage) until Dec.31, 2013
  • A transshipment cargo of an outer port container (wharf use) until Dec.31, 2013
  • A container cargo for import and export carried by an exclusive container ship until Dec.31, 2013
  • Cargo carried by an ocean going vessel or a home trade vessel that enters and departs Kyungin Port until Dec.31, 2013
  • A land and sea truck, cargo viamultimodal transport and a transshipment carried by an international car ferry which enters and departs our trade ports until Dec.31, 2013
