    • Location and Scale: #3, Jonghwa-dong, Yeosu/ 3 level total floor area: 1,321.54㎡

Operating system
  • Introduction and Operation of VTS: Apr. 8, 1996.
  • Work system: 3 teams, 2-shift a day
Functions and Roles
  • Within the limit of Yeosu and Gwangyang port, basin, VTS special water area, passage to traffic separation zone
VTS area
  • Checking conditions of entering & departing vessels and management of navigation
  • Providing vessel schedule and marine meteorology information
  • Designation of basin (Yeosu Port and Gwangyang Port, basin out of harbor limit)
  • Checking, Supporting and controlling for vessel navigation security
  • Strengthening control of unsafe sea route for the safety of navigating vessels
  • Managing distress, emergency, safety trafficand swift treatment of marine accidents
  • Sending a marine patrol vessel in emergency cases
